Hi Friends,

Google Drive backup any methods?

I have been using Google Drive for the last 6 months and now have 300+ spreadsheets and critical content. I wanted to know what are all the ways i can backup and also any ADD-on's or software's which can be used to automate.

Google provides tools to help you back up your data if you wish to. You can sync the files on google drive with files in a folder of your choice on your pc.

  1. Download google drive for pc from https://www.google.com/drive/download/ and install the program.
  2. After installation run the program and customize it suits your needs. That is if you want to sync just one folder or a few but not all folders, you can change the preferences and choose what works best for you.
  3. Google drive will then sync automatically each time you are online. As the files are stored on your local hard drive when they're synced, you'll have your back up copies without any difficulty. ALSO You could try spinbackup which offers online backup service which is absolutely free.
  1. Go to https://spinbackup.com/ and create an account.
  2. Once you login enable backup for google drive.
  3. Permit spinbackup to access your google drive account.
  4. Click the backup tab.
  5. Wait for the process to complete and you're done.

Owing to security issues however it's best to simply just sync your files using google drive for pc and save your data on removal media such as a pen drive.
