Now that Google Chrome is ready for Windows 8, will Google Chrome have new features? What new things can we expect from Google Chrome when Windows 8 make it to the market?

The Google Chrome browser has been one of the leading internet browsers for computers, both desktops and laptops. Even tablets are joining in on the implementation of this fast and secure browser. And it is no surprise that it is going to Microsoft’s next-generation operating system, the Windows 8.

Don’t expect too many features of Google Chrome for Windows 8 just yet, since the interface and security of Chrome from current computers are still the same on this brand new platform. What you can expect is its full integration to the Metro user interface of Windows 8, so this means that touch-enabled devices such as tablets that have Windows 8 as their operating system can use the Chrome browser with ease and simplicity. The syncing of bookmarks that is already found on current-generation Chrome browsers are still going to be implemented in the Windows 8 version. The news so far is that brand new applications, plugins and extensions are currently being developed only for the platform of Windows 8. So expect your favorite Chrome extensions like AdblockPlus, Flash block and Web-of-Trust to have their different Windows 8-compatible formats built with better security and better integration to Microsoft’s new giant the Windows 8.

Hi Cassandrajnorman,

Google has finally planned to launch new version of Chrome Browser for Windows 8. It is said by the officials that Chrome browser will have the same features for desktop and Android versions. Extension support and swipe functionality is also expected to be present in this new version. Google is planning to give a big change in Metro user interface. The Metro version of Google Chrome will be developed to support touch devices. Google’s emphasis is to bring simple, secure but fast Chrome version. The users who are used to the desktop version will have the facility of using the similar version to which they are used to.

Thanks,
