I received this problem after I downloaded and installed Google Chrome:
Chrome.exe Program Fault
The Software never initialized effectively (0xc0000005). Press on OK to eliminate the program. I removed chrome extensions and restarted my PC. I am using Windows XP SP3.
Is a problem with my installation?
Google Chrome Program Error Code 0xc0000005
Dear Caspian zec, I have read your query.
Have you any Symantec Security Product installed on your machine? If that is the case, then Symantec Security is the reason behind this bug. In that case you can fix this bug following these instructions. First of all you need to back up your registry as it involves changing registry. Type cmd in Run from Start Menu and hit enter to open Command Prompt. Type regedit in Command Prompt and hit enter to open Registry Editor. Look for SysPlant through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesSysPlant and open Start DWORD. Now disable drivers by changing value to 4 and reboot your system for changes to take effect. After restart you will not encounter this problem.
On the other hand, try using Google Chrome with no sandbox. To do so, right click on Shortcut of Google Chrome on your desktop and click on properties. Now just paste
--no-sandbox at the end of path in Target line. This may also resolve your issue.
I hope it helped.
