When I open a new tab in Google Chrome, I am directed here: chrome-internal://newtab/. I'm not sure why this is occurring or what, if anything, I can do to resolve it. I am looking for help on this, as it is just annoying but not bothersome. Any suggestions, or is this common and I just need to stick with it? Thank you.
Google Chrome new tab isn’t right
This error is caused by an installed extension which you have added in Chrome.
Solution 1 – Turn off your extensions one-by-one and see which one is causing the error:
-
Click the Chrome Menu in the top-right hand corner of your browser

Click on Tools and select Extensions
-
Uncheck the “Enabled” checkbox next to an extension and see if the problem persists. Do this for all extensions to find out which one is causing the error.
