I can’t install Google Chrome in my computer. I downloaded the Chrome installer from Google (the online installer).  At Around 60 percent,  the installer stopped downloading files . It just hanged there.  I waited about 3 hours, but no change in the progress bar! What is the problem?

It is advisable to seek an alternative Google Chrome installer to avoid the problem that you are experiencing right now. Example: Offline installer.
 You do not need to have the network connection to install this installer. It will be easy for you. Once you have installed this, it would automatically try to update from the web to its new version. The only problem is your network configuration will not let you do this due to security reasons.

It seems that you have downloaded Google Chrome from an unauthorized website, or you have downloaded a Google Chrome package that has viruses in it.
It is also possible that the package is corrupted, so that you are having this problem.
