I have a Gigabyte Global TV card gtptv-av-rh. It worked on windows XP without problems, but now when I installed Windows 7 I can not run installation. I heard that there is a great chance that its not supported by windows 7. Is it true ? If I can not use this card in Windows 7 what TV card would be good?

No I don’t think that it is not supported by Windows 7. Windows 7 supports more hardware than window XP. But there is a possibility that you are not installing the correct driver for this software. All windows XP drivers are not compatible with windows 7. What you have to do is to find your TV card driver for windows 7 and then install this driver. I hope your device will be working.

But if you really want to buy a new TV card, I will suggest you to buy Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1150. It is supported by all window based operating system and has good specifications.

Hello Alan!

I think your drivers and software are not compatible with the windows 7. You can download drivers and utility from gigabyte site.

I am using TV tuner manufactured by Dany Tech. It is working fine on windows 7 as well as on windows 8. For more details you can visit Dany website.
