I have my Canon printer on, and it connects to my pc via wifi, but I get an error connection dialogue box when I want to scan an image.  What is the fix for this?

Too bad you did not post what the error message says so we can further analyze the possible cause of the problem. But since we don’t have a clue on what the error message says, try turning off your printer and then unplug it from the power outlet for a couple of minutes. Then after a while, plug it again and then turn it on. Try scanning an image again and see the result. If you still receive that error, try uninstalling your printer’s software from the computer then check your machine for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like PC Tools Performance Toolkit.

After the disk check, install again your printer’s software on your computer and then try scanning an image again.
