I keep on getting this error whenever I'm browsing through the internet. At first, I get that error not that much but now it consistently popping up on my screen. It's kind of annoying especially when I'm trying to check my email and then this error will pop up and I would have to restart my pc to open my Internet Explorer again.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library

Runtime Error!

Program: E:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I don't think this is normal though. I don't know much about troubleshooting and I only use it to browse through some websites and mainly checking my emails.

Please, if anyone got a fix for this please share.. thanks

Hi

This problem is usually caused by damaged or incompatible Internet Explorer settings and/or add ons. You can usually resolve this issue by simply resetting the Internet Explorer settings.

Close ANY program running, including Internet Explorer.

Click Start and in the search text box type inetcpl.cpl, in the results of the search, click it and it should open the Internet Options dialog box

Go to Advanced tab, under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.

Once the resetting is done, close the window and open Internet Explorer again and see if the error persists.

Microsoft also offers a way to automatically fix your error, You can go here. Download it and run it, follow the prompted instructions to fix your problem.

Hi Kathleen,

Update your Internet Explorer that’s compatible with your Operating System.

Here is the link where you can find the updated version of IE that’s compatible with your OS.

http://www.oldapps.com/internet_explorer.php?old_internet_explorer=13

I also recommend Mozilla Firefox as your web browser, its much faster and more reliable to use than IE.

Here is the link where you can download the version that’s compatible with your O.S.

Hope this can help.
