Getting Google Chrome Security Certificate Error while logging on Gmail

Hello all,

Am I the only one who thinks this is funny? “The site’s security certificate is not trusted!” That’s a Google Chrome Security Certificate Error I got from logging on Gmail.

The site's Security certificate is not trusted!

You attempted to reach www.google.com , but the server presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may mean that the server
has generated its own security credentials which Google Chrome cannot rely on for identify information, or an attacker may be trying to intercept your communications. You should not
proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.

Proceed anyway    Back to safety

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is it simply because Chrome is not yet completely compatible to my Mac?

Thanks.

Hello there,

I don't use Mac but i think i could still offer you a few answers or solution. Whenever i get prompted by the same thing.. “The site’s security certificate is not trusted!” Usually i check my PC (or in your case, your Mac) Date and Time Settings. Usually the Date and Time stopped or wasn't set correctly. Changed it. And try browsing the site again.

If it still persist..

Try restarting your Mac..

If it doesn't work… try this.. But use it at your own risk..

Just go to Options -> Under The Hood -> Security : Here you can simply remove Check for Security things (Not Recommended) , or Manage your certificates similar to other browsers

or try go to "Settings", then click "Show Advanced Settings", then under "HTTPS/SSL" remove or unCheck "Check for sever Certificate revocation".
