What must be the reason why I continuously receive the error message below? It all started when I installed Web Platform Installer. It said: “The Web Platform Installer could not start. Please report the following error on the Web Platform Installer forum. http://forums.iis.net/1155.aspx”. Can you help me figure out why the error message popped up? Is it not compatible with my laptop having Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System? Or is it too big to be installed? I need answers to my questions badly.

Microsoft Web Platform Installer was provided to make Microsoft Web Platform easy to download and install. Check if you run the following Operating Systems in your computer. These are Windows Server 2008, Windows Sever 2008 R2, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. If your computer is behind proxy, please make sure that the proxy settings for Internet Explorer are set correctly. Then retry accessing the URL. In case there is a third party firewall installed in your computer, you have to disable them before downloading Web Platform Installer. If the URL cannot be accessed though Web PI, use Fiddler. If you have not yet installed Fiddler, you can download it then install in your computer.
