Hi Experts,

While accessing a Microsoft Access 2010 file through Import Data task in SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1, I received the error message. I do not understand this missing Microsoft Office 2007 component.

I think it is an awful error message. Have you any idea for this issue.

Please help.

Thank in advance.

Missing microsoft Office 2007 Component

The selected file appears to be a Microsoft Access 2007 file. In order to access the file within this file, one of two Microsoft products must be installed on this windows client machine:

1. Microsoft Access 2007 (individually, or as a part of a Microsoft Office 2007 suite), or
2. Microsoft’s 2007 Office System Driver

The 2007 Office System Driver may be downloaded, free of charge, from Microsoft’s website by going to www.microsoft.com and searching for “Data Connectivity Components”.
                                                      OK

Hello

You get that error due the incompatibility of the used platform from a previous version then you need to install a component to resolve it and to can access to the file, then how the message say you have to download the missing component and for that here is the link to download that missing installation of Microsoft Office 2010:

You may be missing some important Microsoft office components on your system that are required for it to work well.

In order to resolve the issue.

I will suggest that you run the windows update to install any components that are missing from your system for instance .Net framework that is required for the system to work.

Regards,

Nicke
