Getting error after upgrade my phone to Symbian Anna from Nokia C7

Hello Techyv,

I effectively upgraded my phone to Symbian Anna from Nokia C7. However, I have lost most of my data. Programs such as adobe reader and quick office are missing. Consequently, I cannot open any file that is in PDF or doc. My phone’s other camera stopped working also.

Moreover, Nokia themes and wallpapers are missing. Applications such as Nokia maps ad Ovi store have not upgraded from the previous version. While there are some nice upgrades, I have lost many applications and data. The below attachment shows part of the problem I am experiencing.

There was a problem .please restart Nokia Ovi Suite and try again . If the problem persists ,uninstall Nokia
Ovi Suite and download the latest version of the application from http://www.nokia.com/global/support/product/nokia-suite/.
Error code : 12017

I did not expect such from a company as big as Nokia. Is there anything I can do to continue enjoying the Symbian Anna?

Hi

I will help you to get your Nokia Symbian C7 phone run. Nokia software updater advices, that please backup all of your data before updating your phone software. You did not take backup. Now you do not hvave much choice. The lost data cannot be recovered. Please update your software, Symbian Anna once again.

Hello James Belt,
 
Didn’t you create a back-up of your data before going on with a firmware update? If you didn’t, I can’t help you with recovering the data, but If you did, connect your device with the computer and restore your data via Nokia Pc Suite.
 
Anna is an older software, a newer software for you device is available, it is called Belle Refresh. Please do a hard reset of you phone by dialing *#7370# (This will erase all your data). Once you have done that update your phone to Belle Refresh via Nokia PC Suite, read the instructions carefuly before updating, most importantly do not unplug your device while the update is going on.
