Hi, I have a problem,

My computer is currently configured with Windows XP with an Intel storage controller configured to “RAID” mode in the BIOS which I have been using for a while now. I have decided to install Windows 7 but it keeps bringing the error message below. What could be the problem?

Install Windows

Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware.

Gracius.

This error might caused by the BIOS itself. Compatibility issue also plays a big factor here. They must be in same model and manufacturer.

You can upgrade the BIOS – Basic Input-Output system up tot he latest version. Then go to the BIOS to activate the file "Load Fail-Safe Defaults" to function properly.

All computer components, like SATA has to be compatible with the BIOS mode. Hardware installed must have an upgraded version compatible and ready for Windows 7 installations. These are a common mistakes by users when they want to upgrade their windows from Windows XP to Windows 7. But it is doable to install Windows 7 coming from the lower version of Windows.
