I have a question about the uninstalling of software in general. When you install a software it puts some files on your computer. What happens when you install this software? I know that the program is no longer operational on the PC but what happens to the files? Are residual files still present on the pc? Does it consume space? How to clean up thoroughly?

When we install software, setup copy files to our computer which will help to run the software. Actually, these files are important for software if you delete 1 or 2 system file, your program will shut down immediately.

We have different methods for uninstalling. If you uninstall using software 'Uninstall' option some of the files still remain on your hard drive.
But if you uninstall using windows 'Add or Remove programs' option, it will completely remove from your PC. Reboot your PC after uninstallation.

The remaining files are known as junk or garbage. It is of no use and it consumes space. Use 'Ccleaner' software to delete all those residual files. It will automatically search the files and delete them.
