Does someone here encounters the same error when trying to make the AUHighShelfFilter run on GarageBand in Apple? I am running Mac OS X 10.5.2 and I need help on fixing the error below. How can update the plug-in as stated in the error message? Please send me steps on resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.

An error has occurred with an installed Audio Unit plug-in.

GarageBand unexpectedly quit while trying to use the Audio Unit”AUHighShelfFilter” by “Apple”.

This plug-in may require an update.

Many of the issues in Mac OS X that has something to do with applications that won’t run or generates an error can be fixed by updating your operating system. Installing the latest Mac OS X update fixes most common problems and bugs that you experience while using your computer. To do it properly, since the application is already throwing up an error, uninstall it and then install it back.

Once this is done, update your operating system. Click on the Apple menu and select Software Update. In case you are prompted, enter your administrator username and password. See image.

The next screen should display the available updates for both Mac OS X and Mac App Store apps. Click Update All to install all available updates. When prompted, enter your administrator username and password and then your Apple ID and password. See image.

You can also click Update on each of the available updates to install them individually.
