Hi there,

I have been playing Splinter cell's Blacklist on my HP Pavilion which was running on Windows 8 64 bit, after upgrading to windows 8.1, I installed the game and when I try launching the game am getting this error message that MSVR100.dll is missing, I checked online and downloaded the file and installed it, but still getting the same message, what could be the problem? How can I get my game playing again?

Hi !

After you have updated your Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 all previous settings of Windows has been lost. You have to check the official site of Splinter Cell Blacklist and see if it is compatible with the new version of Windows 8.1.

When you open the game and it asks for DLL Files Download and put install them in C-WINDOWS-sysWOW64 if you are using an OS on 64 bit. If you are using an OS on 32 bit install your DLL files in C-WINDOWS-system32.

Hello,

MSVR100.dll is a part of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package that installs the runtime required to run a program that was developed using Microsoft Visual C++ 2010.

The program that is giving such error was also compiled using Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 so you have to install the runtime.

Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. Then, your program won’t give you trouble any more.
