I have Adobe InCopy and InDesign CS4 installed on my Mac computer. Recently I am receiving an error message which states “Galley View and Story View are not available as the document do not contain InCopy stories.” I have tried importing the InCopy assignment to layers and selection but the error persists. What should I perform to get the issue solved?
Galley View and Story View Unavailable
To resolve that issue, you will need to follow the procedure below:
You will need to open the .indd file that is causing the problem.
And that will be either in the InDesign or InCopy.
Once you have opened it, you will need to look in its Links panel, you will do that by going to Window and then choosing Links.
There, you should and see if there are any listings for .incx files in there.
In case there are not any of them, then it is clear that they are missing, and that is the root of the problem.
To fix that, you will need to follow a detailed explanation of the step-by-step process to making it all work, which has got screen shots the following page: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/incopy-cs3-revealed/how-the-workflow-works/
