Good day Cheril,

After a short research, this is what I have found out.

It is a audigrabber that grabs digital audio from CD's, and it can automatically normalize the music, delete silence from the start and/or end of tracks, you can encode them to a variety of formats including MP3. 

It can also access freedb, an internet compact disc database. You can even record your vinyl LPs or cassette tapes with it and make waves or MP3s to it.
