I would like to purchase a new scanner for my desktop computer. I am planning to get Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Scanner. Can you give me the pros and cons of this scanner? Can you give me the specifications of it? What are the dimensions and what are the power outputs of this? Can you tell me also how much is it in the market now? Can you give me instructions on how to properly connect it with a laptop? Can you tell me what are the materials used in its body casing?

Hello,

This Scansnap iX500 is very fast and accurate speed. Whoever simplex or duplex mode so it’s very fast. It has USB 3.0 connections file transfer is very fast.

With USB 3.0 we are getting up to 5GB per second speed compare than USB 2.0 and USB cable is 6 feet long, so it gives plenty of length to access the scanner comfortably.

The disadvantages of this scanner are CIS sensors have caught up and surpassed CCD sensors.

If you need high res photos you are looking wrong scanner is designed for low to high volume document scanning.
