Frequent disconnection of fingerprint reader without any warning

I have a fingerprint reader, which disconnects without warning, only to reconnect seconds later.

When it has disconnected, the error message “fingerprint device is not present" shows up, when I try and open protector suite.

My first guess was a problem with the driver. So, I reinstalled it a number of times, but the problem is still there. Strictly speaking its not that big of a deal. It is just too annoying to have a sound warning every 10 minutes!

Does anyone else have the same problem or have any idea how to solve it?

Do you think it is a hardware issue?

Whenever I use the program the following message shows up.

Protector Suite 2009: An internal error occurred (bpwb: bp-wb-dpi-ed-wbebu(8000106ba)).

Can anybody tell me as to what I should do?

Hello dear,

If it is not such a big issue to you, then you  can edit the windows start up problem and then get released. For this, please do the following:

1. Go to start menu and select run command

2. There you have to type “msconfig” and press enter

3. A system configuration window will open

4. There please select start up tab

5. Now find your program which encounters you. These can be found by the program source destination or location

6. Now, uncheck that program

7. Apply the setting and then restart your computer.

This time your problem should not be rise again.

Thanks for your time
