Foxit reader error – Looking for Solution

Hello friends,

I have been using foxit reader for quite a while now. Just a day ago an error started popping up on my screen when I was browsing various items on amazon. When I clicked on any item on amazon, Ii got the following error:

Foxit Reader

Format error: not a PDF or computed.

OK

I am using Firefox 13 but I just upgraded it the same day. Otherwise the internet explorer 8 is not creating any problem. I don’t even try to open a PDF file, then why is this error popping up?

All other PDF files are opening smoothly when I try I try to open them. I have disabled the add-ons for Firefox that are Flashblock and Adblock. All other add-ons are updated but still the problem persists.

Has it anything to do with Firefox or some other reason? If anyone has any clue regarding the problem, please help me out.

Looking forward to your reply.

Regards.

Mike.

Foxit reader error – Looking for Solution

Hello,

At first, please check if you designed the Foxit reader plugin is marked as unexpected type of not.

To do this, go to the option in Firefox and then go to application option. There is a search box there. Find adobe by typing it and filter it. Now check your adobe plugin. If it is disabled, enable it.

If you are failed, then find “mine type” which is listed in parentheses. It is likely “application/x-pdf”. If the problem still existed, then reset all tabs and rebuilt Firefox.

Go to this link and download and install it: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pdfjs/

Hope your problem will be solved.
