Hi Experts,

I have set a password for system settings in BIOS. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the password.

Now I am unable to enter into BIOS settings. I cannot make any change in system. Even I cannot change the boot options.

Now what I can do?

Forgotten system password. How to retrieve?

Hi Dear,

It is very easy to retrieve your password.

As you know that there is a CMOS Battery which supplies uninterruptable flow of current to CMOS chip to save the settings.

If the flow of the electric current will cut for a while then all the settings will go to its factory default.

So, you have to do this task.

Remove the CMOS Battery for 10 seconds and start your computer.

It will erase all optional settings that you have made.

Even it will erase your system password also.

Now put the CMOS battery again and enjoy. Your password has been broken.

Thanks
