Problems are always a headache for me. Whenever I start my windows XP I face the same problem again and again. When I start windows, a folder named "mydocuments" opens at startup.

When I go to check the start menu that whether this folder was added to startup menu, but there were no folder added with this name even the startup menu was empty.

And i am unable to change this settings.

Hi there

This problem started because of a change of your registry value. you can fix this and overcome from this trouble by using following steps

Go to run > type regedit > press enter or click okay  ( to do the modification in registry settings you need to have appropriate user rights  )

Then registry editor will open, please go to following refgistry key

HKEY_ LOCAL_ MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon

Then look down the list in your right hand panel, scroll down littile bit and locate and read Userinit value

This value should read [ C:WINDOWSsystem32userinit.exe, ] the comma also must be there and ( please ignore brackets ]

Check the value, if the value is different from mentioned above, just right click on Userinit Value,

Then after select modify from the drop down menu

Type this value C:WINDOWSsystem32userinit.exe,  (including comma also)

Click okay

Please restart your computer, after restarting your problem must be over.
