"Google it" helped me find lots of articles, but none of them could satisfy me. How to make a bootable flash drive of BIOS updater? Although I did make records together, enough information to figure it out before an actual flashing my 880GMA-UD2H motherboard. Please guys help elaborate more with Visual aid  on how to upgrade my  motherboard BIOS?

Hi Dcon1972,

Before anything else to do with BIOS update, kindly tell me why you want to upgrade your BIOS for your Motherboard?  If you try to upgrade your BIOS there are more reasons behind it, because motherboard company always warned you about this.

Warning:
"Because BIOS flashing is potentially risky, if you do not encounter problems using the current version of BIOS, it is recommended that you do not flash the BIOS. To flash the BIOS, do it with caution. Inadequate BIOS flashing may result in system malfunction."

Commonly, it is done by a floppy disk and is known as flashing. Usually a floppy image from the manufacturer sites is available to download, save it in a floppy disk then boot your computer from your floppy drive. That image from your floppy disk will automatically update your BIOS. There are new ways to update BIOS like what you've asked,  booting from your flash drive.

First format a flash disk; insert it to a flash port that is available; then open a browser; then go to the manufacturer site; then to BIOS section where you can find downloads for the latest available BIOS update for your motherboard model. Be sure to be exact with your motherboard model, because it might cause malfunctioning if you download and update a wrong version.

After downloading, save it to your flash disk. Usually it has executive files, reboot your computer, boot from your flash drive if it does not boot automatically,  press F12 until an option pops out, choose booting from flash drive and then allow the BIOS update to run once done it will reboot automatically. Hope this help you.
