I have this software called Flash Decompiler Trillix 3.1.1.590 which upon starting the application gives me this error ‘Error: Access violation at 0x7D61F428 (tried to write to 0x00040EC4)’ and then the program terminated. What do you think is the problem? I have tried disabling my antivirus on installation and program start but the problem is still there. Other specifications: DEP is set to Windows programs and services only, OS is Windows XP Professional X64 Edition, Intel Core 2 Duo E6850. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I’m not sure if this is an incompatibility issue since this version that you have works with all Windows versions. Try uninstalling it again then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like PC Tools Performance Toolkit. After the disk check install it again. This will fix any corrupted files in the installation and restores its settings back to default.

If doing this still doesn’t help, try installing the application on a different computer that is running also in Windows XP but the 32-bit version. This will test the program’s compatibility with the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP. If the installation on the 32-bit platform was successful and you were able to use it as well then you need to change your operating system to 32-bit.
