After successfully installing Fix-It Utilities 2012 an alert showed up with error “We have detected that you have Active Security installed on your computer.” But as I’ve checked on my computer, I couldn’t find any active security anywhere. What do I need to do now?

Hello Todd,

The software detected an active security software in your computer, if you have used one before you might not have uninstalled it correctly or your computer comes with a pre installed antivirus software. You need to check the programs installed on your computer to see if you have active security software. Here are the steps you need to do

Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, then go ahead and click Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features. Select a program, and then click Uninstall.

I hope this helps you solve your concern

For the complete removal of active security please follow the procedures below. There are files and folders that is associated with this program you must delete it.

1. go to C:Program Files select the file or folder that has active security on it. But if you can’t delete the file because it is used by another program that will remove it you need to install the program called Unlocker. You can download it from here

Download and install the program

Now right click the folder of active security and then choose unlocker and choose on the drop down box delete and ok.
