I am having problem in my Dead Rising 2.0 game.

I am getting this error message:

The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer.

Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Can anyone help to get rid of this problem?

Hi Bessierromer,

This problem is actually a common problem with Dead rising 2.0, but don’t worry there are 3 methods for you to fix it:

First Method:

1. Download MSVCR100.dll

2. Extract the contents of the compressed archive and you’ll find MSVCR100.dll

3. Copy the file and paste it into the folder containing the game (default: C:Program FilesCapcomDead Rising 2)

4. Try to run the game now, and your problem should be solved.

Second Method:

1. Download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package

2. Reboot the computer and start the game.

Third Method:

1. Download MSVCR100.dll

2. Extract the archive to find MSVCR100.dll

3. Copy the file and paste it into your system folder (default: C:WindowsSystem32)

4. Try to run your game again

Hello Bessie,

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

  • You will need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dll.
  • That is a registry file that is required for projects built with Visual Studio 2010.
  • And then you will need to ensure that you download the files below depending on your operating system version.
  • You may also choose to install all versions as they may be needed for different programs.
  • And then ensue that you check in Programs and Features and see if  you have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable as well as Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. If you haven't, you will need to install them.

Regards,

Carl
