Hello experts,

I am using Final Cut pro version 4 and trying to open Final Cut pro 6 project but I am unable because of this annoying error message.

Should I use a later version to open this project?

Suggest me properly. I would be grateful to you.

Thanks.

This project is unreadable or may be too new for this version of final cut.

Final Cut pro version 4 says the project is unreadable

Using an older version of final cut pro to open a project file for a newer version is not a good idea. This is because a new version of the program has advanced futures and uses more formats of files. You can use a new version of the program to open an old project file but not the other way round. Use final cut pro 4 to open the project file or start a new project using final cut pro 6. If using Final cut pro 4 does not access the project, then it means the project file has been corrupted and you will have to start the whole project again using an improved version of Final cut pro X.
