The installer runs through the installation without prompting you to enter the 35 digit license key. When the FileMaker pro 12 is launched after installation, the message you encounter appears.

What to do:

  • Use the assisted Install.txt file (in the Al_License Key section, enter the 35 digit serial number included with your software).
  • Then run the installer.

Thank you.

Hello Dudley,

To resolve that issue, you will need to reinstall the previous version of FileMaker Pro and then update it to FileMaker Pro 9.0v2 using the following steps:

  • First of all quit FileMaker Pro 9 and/or FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced if they're running.
  • And then find your FileMaker Pro 9 or FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced folder. They are usually in the Application folder.
  • After that you will need to open the above folder and after that move the FileMaker Pro 9 or FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced application to the trash. Be careful not to empty the trash until the update is successful.
  • After that transfer the FileMaker Pro application file from the "FileMaker.old" folder to your original FileMaker Pro 9 or FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced folder, and then execute the updater program again.
  • Once it has completed launch FileMaker Pro 9/Advanced.

Regards,

Nicke
