Hello experts,

A file name of nsm failed to delete objects. I got a folder on my computer desktop with an operating system of Windows XP, the folder name was nsm and I want to delete it since it has no content. But when I tried there is an error occurred saying unable to delete objects. What can I do to delete the item and what is the reason why I can’t delete it?

Hi,

Removing/deleting files from your folders should be done with caution especially if you are not aware as to the nature of a file that you see from your PC, for deleting it might be harmful to your operating system (e.g. .nsm.exe). A .exe file must first be located which program does it belong. Only then you may safely uninstall the program.

You may also run your anti-virus program to delete the file. Remember that if you are already certain that the removing nsm file is not harmful to your OS, only then that you try to delete it manually.
