Hello,

You are getting this error because the Error: ".IMA extension not associated with Incredimail"

first of all please check your Windows Registry and if there are the Registry error, then you won't be able to remove Incredimail. Please first resolve the Windows registry errors then try again to uninstall. (Windows registry is the utility which is related to the File associations on your computer)

and one more thing is that  == .IMA  is the extension of Instant Messenger of AOL

Check these things and get back to us..

Thanks

You are getting that error because of the items written into your Windows registry that were not removed when you uninstalled your email client. When you removed IncrediMail, it unregistered all file associations with the program leaving files with “.ima” extension unassociated with any other program. But normally, when you reinstall the email client, it should fix and restore the default file associations.

But in your case, it did not happen. To fix your problem, try cleaning your registry first before reinstalling IncrediMail. Click Start, Control Panel, and then “Add or Remove Programs”. Scroll down and select IncrediMail then click Remove or Uninstall. Wait until uninstall is complete then restart your computer. Next, download and install PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Once installed, start PC Tools.

Select Performance tab then click Clean Your Registry.

Make sure Complete Registry Scan is selected then click Start Scan. Wait until it is finished then close PC Tools. Reinstall IncrediMail then see if this fixes the problem.
