The podcast app was released by Apple, exclusive for the iPhones and iPads. It is an intelligent app which recommends the top stations and automatically downloads new episodes. You will also find some settings for the speed, a sleep timer and you will have the ability to step back up to 10 seconds and jump forward 30 seconds.
It also gives you the option to subscribe to some podcasts that will appear in the library of your phone. The sharing option wasn't forgotten. This app lets you share a show or a radio station while listening to it, so you can recommend what you listen to your friends.

Apple launched the separatePodcasts app in order to slim down the iTunes store on iOS. The app is designed for both the iPad and iPhone and it requires iOS 5.1 or the later versions. It has some superb features like Subscribe, with that you can subscribe to your favorite music and videos and receive the new episodes automatically as soon as they are online. Top Stations feature lets you find new podcasts in variety of topics.
You can browse the music and videos in the Top Chart. Like the previous incarnations you can stream anything online or you can download that for listening offline. There is a very useful feature of Podcasts is that it allows to sync your positions between devices, for example you can start watching a video online on your iPhone and you can finish that later on your iPad.
