Fatal error during installation of McAfee

I was installing McAfee Antivirus in my PC, but then I got this error message, see screenshot below.

I tried to install again, but the same thing happened.

I have searched the web and found one site that one way to resolve is by granting full control permissions to the System account which I knew it has been set.

I was in a dead end and didn’t know what to do next.

Please help.

Hallo Kristy,

This error could be occurring because the windows installer has been corrupted, and these could be due to a virus infection of the operating system you are using or the McAfee antivirus that you are trying to install. I will advice that you scan the system for any infections using the windows defender and remove them.

Otherwise I will advise that you download another McAfee antivirus installation setup from the internet because the one you have seems to be corrupt, or you will have to go back to the supplier who sold you the antivirus and report the problem so that they can replace it for you.

I think you are installing Schedule Input Program or SIP and not McAfee antivirus. If the installer you are using doesn’t work or doesn’t install, try downloading the program again from GSA FAS or GSA Federal Acquisition Service. Download the latest Schedule Input Program again and install it. The download is available in two formats: EXE and ZIP.

If you download the ZIP format, you also need to install a file compressor like WinZip, WinRAR, or 7-Zip to unpack the file from the ZIP container. The latest Schedule Input Program supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires Intel Pentium II or faster processor, 32 MB RAM, 12 MB free space, and internet connection.
