Hello,

Hope all is well with you. Your internet speeds might be slow maybe because your memory is low or there are many applications that are opened at the same time. Try closing some of the opened programs or adding memory to your system.

However, developer have created an application that enables you to download faster and also organize the list of downloaded items in a neat and easy to use manner.

Internet Download Manager (IDM)  is such an application which also has an accelerator to boost your downloading speeds. It also lets you pause or restart your downloads if need arises and resumes from where it stops incase of power loss.

This URL will direct you to the site where you can download the application.

Hi,

SlimBrowser is a download manager that is multi-threaded and that will split your downloads into a number of sections and download them at the same time using multiple threads.

This download manager will also boost your download some notches higher.

You can also pause and resume downloads your downloads at any given time.

You can get more information at slim browser.

Even if you use the fastest possible file downloader available, the actual speed of the file being downloaded still depends on your network. There’s no way of making your connection a little faster if it is already slow in the first place. The only thing you can do in this case or in this kind of situation is to maximize your computer and your network speed. Here are a few things you can do to improve your network speed. One of the things you can do is to remove the reservable bandwidth your computer uses.

To do this, click Start, Run, then type without quotes “gpedit.msc” and then hit Enter. When the Group Policy window opens, go to Local Computer Policy, Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, QOS Packet Scheduler, and then Limit reservable bandwidth. Select Enabled then set “Bandwidth limit (%)” to 0. Apply the new setting and then restart your computer when prompted. Another method is by configuring the Communications Port of your computer. To do this, right-click My Computer then select Properties. Select Hardware tab then click Device Manager.

Expand Ports (COM & LPT) and then double-click Communications Port (COM1). Select Port Settings tab then set “Bits per second” to the highest value or simply select 128000. Click OK to apply. To download Internet Download Manager, visit Internet Download Manager. It works with Windows Server 2008, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 and it has a free 30-day trial period. The full version costs $24.95.
