Fan sound issue with Dell Alienware Aurora

Hi there folks,

1 month before I purchased a new Dell Alienware Aurora. I like to play lots of games on it. First 3 weeks it worked pretty well without giving any type of problem.

But last week onwards when I am starting a game on that, after 4 hours of time loud noise is coming from that. I think the fan in that is making Noise. That sound is coming continuously until I switch it off.

Is this an issue with fan or motherboard? Can anyone help me figure out the problem? Many Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello Lonnie,

Heat could be the problem. Clean your fan with some air cleaner. Due to dust the fan noise can be more and their efficiency will be reduced. Another thing which can be considered here is that where to use the laptop. Laptop should be used on hard and cool surfaces. Using it on soft surfaces can obstruct their air intake and it can lead to more heat.

When the issue comes mute your sound system, so it will make sure that issue is in Hardware parts. When the noise comes you can keep your ear in the bottom part of laptop and figure out exactly where it is coming from and which part is located there. Though it is believed the main cause is the fan due to dust issue or ball bearing of fan parts.
