Fails to apply host profile on a host with an error

Hello,

I was trying to configure a host profile on a host named esx-21b and the following error message stating that an error has occurred and the host configuration cannot be applied was displayed. It does not give me any idea as to what is the error. How can I find what is the cause of the error? I hope someone can guide me through this profile creation. I am a newbie here and could do with all the help you can offer. Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Hi Damon,

This issue occurs if there is a space or special characters in the name of the DVS or Distributed Virtual Switch that is part of the host profile. To resolve this problem, you should rename the host profile you creating by logging in as an administrator. Then click home and select networking. Right-click to the host name then select rename.
