Hi, I am using windows vista and connected with a connection HUB. Could any one tell me how to share my broadband connection to the computers with XP from my vista through the router/HUB?
To share your internet connection, you need to connect two pc with LAN cable to a Ethernet router. Later on you have to change adapter setting. You need to put different value on two PC to share your connection. Go to “Network & Sharing Center” for vista & “My network place” for XP. Now go to “local network connection” properties.
Change the value & click “Obtain following IP” put the value like my uploaded picture. Remember you need to put adjacent value to each PC for IP address. Like put 172.16.17.1 for first PC & for 2nd PC you need to put 172.16.17.2
