I used EeePC 6.1.0.248, and I keep getting a “Failed to register service” error on my computer.
Here is the complete log of the error:
2012-02-23 07:37:24,415 WARNING MfeEpeCredentialProviderServiceV2 ……SrcHelperEpePcCredentialProviderServiceHandler.cpp: EPEPC_credential_provider_service_handler::init: 79: [0xEE000007] Failed to register service
I also used McAfee Agent 4.
How can I fix this?

Dear Cahen,
Log into the client workstation with administrative account to perform the below mentioned steps to fix the issue.

In order to check permission related issue, log onto the client as a domain administrator.

Restart the following service McAfee Endpoint Encryption Agent.

Analyze the following log file – MfeEpe.log file and verify there are no new 0xEE000007 entries.

Ensure that the following registry key has been created after successful installation. In case the key is missing please create the same from the Registry.
[HKLMSoftwareNetwork AssociatesePolicy OrchestratorApplication PluginsEEADMIN_100]

Make sure that Endpoint Encryption status screen has started adding users, PreBoot File System (PBFS), and so on.
The policies will be reinforced after a number of Agent to Server Communication Intervals. The drive will be detected.
