Failed to install AutoCAD 2010 Professional

Hello All,

I recently purchased the AutoCAD 2010 Professional software but have not succeeded in installing it. The installer proceeds to launch but soon it reports a failure to copy the files and halts the process. Though it gives a try again option in the error message, it did not help me. I tried installing several times and finally gave it up. Please find attached a snapshot of the error message that comes up during installation. I have administrator access on this machine and tried disabling my antivirus while installing. But this did not help me. I also ensured that all other programs were closed during the installation process. I ran a virus scan using Kaspersky antivirus and it did not report any issues. What else could be done? Kindly help us to resolve this error and complete the installation of the software. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Failed to copy files. The reason can be that either the disk is full or C:DOCUME~1INGRUM~1LOCALS~1Temp_AI46.tmp is not empty. Please delete C:DOCUME~1INGRUM~1LOCALS~11Temp_AI46.tmp and try again.

If you purchased AutoCAD 2010 then that means the installer is original. It seems that the error happened while the installation wizard is still initializing. Check first if your computer meets the program’s system requirements because this is the most important part when installing a program on the computer. For the 32-bit version of the installer, AutoCAD 2010 supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 and higher, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and later, and Windows 7 [Ultimate, Professional, and Home Premium].

For the 64-bit version of the installer, your computer should be running on 64-bit Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 and later, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and later, and Windows 7 [Ultimate, Professional, and Home Premium]. I don’t know if you are aware that the AutoCAD installer is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions separately.

If your Windows XP is 32-bit, you should download the 32-bit version of the AutoCAD 2010 installer. But if you have the Windows XP 64-bit, you should also download the 64-bit version of AutoCAD 2010. If you downloaded the wrong version of the installer, just download it again since you already have its registration code there should be no problem.

And also, your processor should support SSE2 technology. To check if your processor supports it, visit AutoCAD Mechanical Crashes.
