Failed to connect to domain controller

Hi Phoebegirl,

You may want to check if the host records are containing and mapping the Fully Qualified Domain Name of the domain controller to its IP Address. You can try to do a ping or pathping to check if the IP is resolving to the FQDN or vice versa. You can go here for additional details https://support.microsoft.com/en-us. You can also try to check and verify that the domain controller is available and reachable. It may have gone down for that instance you are not able to connect. Make sure that the domain controller is correctly registered on the DNS server to avoid the error. Details can be found from the above link and https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/979744/a–net-framework-2-0-based-multi-appdomain-application-stops-respondin.
