Fail to connect Modem to Desktop

While using a modem with a network provider, sometimes it failed to connect with the CPU showing no back light of the modem is lighting. It also shows in the desktop screen that failed to connect. But when I setup the Windows XP again and then the modem being connect for some time, and fail again. What is the problem with my modem?

At this moment we are using Banglalion WiMAX USB Modem Ax226.The agency representative was given to us account login user name and account login password.We put it.But the modem was not activate.The reason was the modem doesn't attribute with our Windows 7 ultimate.You should click on modem connect if you wish to browse the Internet or you could be disconnect from the modem whether you don't eager to browse.When the Windows software manager stop working we uninstall the Banglalion WiMAX software.Later on we fix the modem with the USB port and install.

The common issue with intermittent connection is the modem itself. If not the Internet connection then it's the equipment that provides internet access.

Observe how does the lights doing on the modem, when cable or online light is steady but link or pc light goes off then it's something to do with the physical connection.

Replace the cat5 cord and try new Ethernet cable. This ensure that the cord is not the cause of Internet interruptions. If still persist, then we can assume that it's the modem rj45 connector is the problem. The Rj45 connector is plugged in but it's not being recognized by the modem. The connection might be loose and causes the connector to wiggle. Call your ISP for a modem replacement. This eliminate the problem and definitely isolate the situation.
