Hello! Has anyone heard about the Facebook drones? I read it on Internet last year that in 2015 which is this year Facebook will release its drone planes in the atmosphere which will throw WiFi signals on the land. The project was designed to connect the whole world with Internet as large parts of Africa is still without Internet. Is this true and are they still going with this project?

Yes, it is true. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announced regarding this on 2014. They are working on it in Facebook Lab for ensuring basic internet services to all. A team containing many experts from NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab and Ames Research Center. They are trying to build drones, satellites and lasers.
