'Cherry trial' is the name of the architecture on which the new Intel Atom X3 X5 X7 lines ares based upon. That is why they are called as Cherry trial chips.

These 'Cherry Trial' chips will be compatible with Windows 8, 8.1 and Android operating Systems.

Video Editing will also be supported by them. Cherry Trial chips has improved computing and graphics performance than its previous versions of chips.

An x7 chip works with double performance as compared to an Intel Atom Z3795 Bay Trail processor which was its predecessor.

It also ensures a better battery life because it uses a watered-down Broadwell-class GPU unlike the Ivy Bridge-class GPU that Bay Trail used. It will support 3D camera technologies.
