Expansion card giving a system error

I installed an expansion card, and I'm pretty positive it is inserted correctly.  However, I'm having a major system error and cannot boot up properly.  I've installed other expansion cards before and never had this concern so I am assuming it is a bad or damaged card, but I was looking for other suggestions to troubleshoot.  Thank you.

Expansion card giving a system error

Hello Donald!

Please make it sure that you still have the recovery or utility disk. If you cannot see anymore the logo of Operating system (considered unsuccessful boot), the best option is to restore the default settings. Try to load Safe Mode and check if you can retrieve the expansion cards name and drivers. Try to update the driver and necessary software to make this run properly. If still this doesn’t let you boot your computer properly you need to go back to restore the old settings. Try to install again the expansion card and update driver and software before shutting down.
