I am confused between AS2 and AS1. What is EDIINT AS2? Are AS1 and AS2 same? If not then what is the difference between AS1 and AS2? Can you tell?

EDIINT is an acronym for EDI over the Internet.

EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange. EDI is a format that is used by large organizations for exchanging digital information between them. Digital information is the information about purchase orders, invoices with other companies and enterprises.

EDIINT is using a digital transmission over the public internet called AS1. AS2 protocol emerged as the next incarnation of EDIINT.

The only difference between AS1 and AS2 is that AS1 use SMTP protocol and AS2 use HTTP protocol.
