Hello,

My Exchange Server 2003 users cannot receive E-mails.

However if I set a password for a user in the active directory, it works.

Is there any suggestion?

Please Help!

Make sure you have done nothing wrong in the actual setup of the system because you might get trouble and headaches in fixing that. You should also know if the your IP of your internet connection is actually fixed in a DHCP one because if the IP change and cannot be recognized in the DNS level, direct delivery or relaying can be a problem and "Server not found" will just show up on the ISP side and not "rejected".

Don't forget also to check if your SMTP is enabled. Follow the steps below:

Go to Administrative tools > Server Management > Monitoring and Reporting > Under Summary for _ServerName_ You should see Services not Running.

Check to make sure that your SMTP is now currently running.

Get Systems Manager snap-in for Exchange, and navigate to Servers > Server Name > Queues and check the status on your message waiting to be routed, and SMTP Connector. Navigate on to protocols and click on SMTP. Make sure that your default SMTP virtual server is enabled.

I hope this can help.
