Hi,

My computer is having very excessive Ubuntu hard drive activity even if I don't have many apps running, it's all random. Can anyone please tell me how will I fix that? I'm scared that my drive will wear out and break down..

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

1.   You can fix it by following the steps:

2.   Right click on the taskbar.

3.   Start Task Manager.

4.   Go to performance Tab.

5.   Resource Monitor.

6.   Disk.

7.   Click on the total B/sec tab to short the list as per disk activity.

Here you can see what activity is happening on your disk and what processes might be using it. Then try to analyze the problem yourself then you can solve it.

Thanks.
