Excel’s data transfer on Windows 7 Pro with Office ’10

Dear friends,

My PC runs on Windows 7 Pro (64-bit Traditional Chinese) and has Office ’10 (32-bit Trad Chinese) and IBM Client Access V6R1M0 (64-bit English).  When using Excel’s data transfer, the values change to 10 or 20 instead of the actual 1 or 2.  This occurs randomly.

Any thoughts? Please share them with me, it would be of great help.

You will need to make sure that you are using the ms excel 2010 in the compatibility mode for it to be able to work with the earlier versions of Excel, such as Excel 97-2003 or Excel 2007, and that way, you will be able to exchange workbooks between the different versions without encountering such problems.

To save the files in the compatibility mode, you will need to:

  • Open the excel document.
  • And then click on file, and then choose save as.
  • You will then need to choose the excel 97-2003 compatibility format.
  • And then save the file.

That should help solve the problem.
