I encountered a similar problem upon installing the two softwares on CD. First. I tried to install a phone software with Activesync. I received an error which says “Your version of DLA can read files on this disk but you will not be able to add them. ”

And the other one was "Warning", The local language and default (WWE) configuration XML file can not be found or invalid, please contact the disk manufacturer. Then, a yellow triangle appears stating "Microsoft Activesync" Error. Invalid Drive: F: Please Select a valid drive”.

Then with the installation of the second software, Turbo Tax – I get this error: A red X, an Invalid Drive, and Error code 1327. Could someone please explain to me this occurrence? What should I do to fix this? Thank you.

After reading your problem it seems there is something wrong with your registry key of the drive. If your F drive is not other then the HDD then you might solve it in this way.

It happens because of the incorrect value of data for the registry key.

To back up and restore the registry key, you need to do the following steps.

1. Start >> Run.

2. Type “regedit” in the box and press Enter.

3. Locate the given registry key.

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerShell Folders.
  • Right down the value in the Data field and check if any value which is incorrect or not. If incorrect then write down the desire value.

4. Close registry editor.
