Hello TechyV buddies!

I am having some issue regarding Dreamweaver. I encounter the following error:

Unable to open script file "C:xxxAdobeAdobe Dreamweaver CS5.5ConfigurationSharedWebAssistPreferencesR SSUpdate.js"(error3).

get error At line 12 of file "C:xxxAdobeAdobe Dreamweaver CS5.5ConfigurationSharedWebAssistLayoutManager shared.js": was not defined

Unable to find file WA_Memento.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory

Can anyone help me solve this issue on Dreamweaver?

I have done the reinstalling of the necessary files but the error is still there.

Is there anyone out there who has an idea on what could have caused this?

I will really appreciate the effort in helping me solve this problem.

Thank you!

Hello Caspian,

The best to perform the installation of the extensions is to install them individually, and the after that verify that they have been installed correctly. That will make it very easy to find out if there were any problems.

You are getting that error because your configuration folder may have been corrupted, and therefore you will need to do the following:

  • You will need to shut down both the Extension Manager as well as Dreamweaver and then you will go to the directory that has got the WinFileCache.
  • You will need to rename this directory to Configuration_back.
  • After that you open up the extension manager,
  • And then you will check to see if the extensions have been disabled.
  • You will need to click to get rid of the currently disabled extension.
  • And after that you will download and then install the extension again.
  • Next you will open Dreamweaver and then verify that there are no issues.
  • If there are no issues, go to the next extension and check too.

Regards,

Carl
